Today, I posted an ad for “house swapping” in Honolulu.
I own a 4 bedroom home in Seattle but want to spend the summer in Honolulu. You have to agree that renting a hotel room for weeks at a time in Hawaii can really add up. Never mind the fact that I remain paying overhead for my Seattle home, a work apartment in Seattle and an additional shared apartment space in LA and New York.
Due to the economy, I have decided to close down my work apartment in Seattle as of April 29th, 2009. Outcall is sufficient for the time being.
So has anyone ever House Swapped?
My ad states, “No money exchanged.” Simply swap home for home.
I got the idea from a fellow scuba diver instructor who offered swapping for 2 weeks over spring break. My dilemma lies in his homes location which was 30 minutes from down town Honolulu. This was just to far from the city for me and therefore I turned down the offer.
Yet, the idea did intrigue me enough to see what happens in offering my home in exchange for ones apartment/condo/or home within the city.
Any advise or experience in dealing with such a thing?
For the record: This house swap is NOT for work purposes. This is strictly for my privacy and my own Convenience!! I would NEVER bring work into my personal life or dwellings.

The pleasure of my girlfriends company used to cost $450 an hour, but no longer. Her clients were capped at 35 and older; but today she's taking almost anyone. Sex acts once off the menu are suddenly back on -- recession specials, served with a side of shrugging compromise.
If she doesn't do more for less, She says, another girl will. And her weekly income is still down by half.
The illegal prostitution economy is a multimillion-dollar beast fed by a black market so diverse that it's impossible to pin down. On one hand, midrange providers say they're being crippled by the economy. On the other, high-end call girls claim they're not feeling much pain. And the women charging the least reportedly are making the most these days -- counterintuitive in an industry where bargains come with risks.
Consider the work of sociologist Sudhir Venkatesh, who surveyed hundreds of high-end providers in New York and discovered that 40 percent of "trades" in the sex economy never went beyond light petting or kissing.
The economy's effect on call girls is even more complicated: The bulk of clients -- or johns -- are here are from out of town, tourists or businessmen who spend days in convention halls and nights in hotel rooms with to-your-door entertainment.
Meanwhile, more women reportedly are getting into the business, which creates a classic supply and demand squeeze. An escort agency owner said he's getting about 40 interested applicants every day, the majority of whom are women running from the wreckage of lost finance jobs.
Now fold another factor into that dynamic: When the economy is bad and people feel their mortgages closing in, they seek comfort in vices: alcohol, cigarettes, gambling, pornography and prostitution.
Providers who charge between $600 and $700 are being hit the hardest. The women (and the smaller number of men in the business) who charge in the $200 to $300 range are doing the same business as before, if not better, according to Susan Lopez, founder of the Sin City Alternative Professionals' Association for local sex workers. And women who charge thousands of dollars for multi-hour appointments say that they're not really being affected at all.
My girlfriend Rebecca charges $2,000 to start. Overnights cost $4,000. Travel and multiple-day excursions are negotiable.
If you don't believe people would pay that kind of money, consider the case of former New York Gov. Elliot Spitzer, who authorities allege spent $80,000 on escorts in one year, despite having a lot more to lose than the cash.
When financial panic intrudes on the prostitution world, escorts often lower their rates in response, according to Amanda Brooks, author of the Internet Escorts Handbooks. That's a mistake, she says, not just because established higher-end prostitutes are more immune to economic fluctuations, but because lowering rates changes the kind of clientele call girls attract.
How street prostitutes are faring is unclear -- even women with close ties to the industry are so far removed from these prostitutes that they don't know.
Women who work for escort services also face a strain that independents. The escort service charges a base fee of several hundred dollars, and it's up to the escort to negotiate with the client on top of that. One local escort, reflecting on the economy, said she knew things were getting bad when women who once would walk out of a room for anything less than a $1,500 tip were now hanging around for only a few hundred dollars.
But here's the irony: When the economy is stable, women who charge midrange fees often end up making more money than call girls serving the high-end clientele, Lopez said. High-end call girl Rebecca makes $15,000 in an average month, but when times are good, Stacie, who charges midrange fees, can clear $25,000 -- she just has to hustle much harder for it. It's a trade-off that plays money against mental health and safety.
Brooks said that if the bad economy does anything to escorting it will be this: Prostitutes will become better at marketing themselves.
"They're going to be looking into Websites, looking into blogging, getting a little more savvy about their marketing, and the smart ones will compete for clients in a way that doesn't impact the girls, not by lowering their prices and by giving more than they feel comfortable with, but by increasing their market savvy."

Adventure Date

Seattle- What a gloomy city. Don’t get me wrong, I love all the culture, fresh air, and scenic beauty that Seattle has to offer…. BUT, It just seems so difficult to get out of bed early on a rainy gloomy day.
Today I had the most unusual date with a commonly seen friend. Before the date, the only request was to bring a bathing suit. I assumed it would be for hot tubing or modeling. I was picked up in a Lincoln town car and driven all the way past Olympia to a location called, “The Great Wolf Lodge” which features an eight-story, north woods-themed resort including an indoor water park. I couldn’t help but smile. I had reserved 6 hours for my date and was thrilled to death at what was to come.
Before I tell you about this date I want to tell you a little about this resort.
If your uninterested, simply skip this section: There are several areas to this resort, I will describe them to you. Fort Mackenzie is a four-story interactive tree house water fort offering 12 levels of super-soaking fun for the family. Younger kids can climb with their parents to reach the slides at the top. The older ones will love making their way over suspension bridges and cargo nets to spray stations and soaker buckets. The GREATEST of soaker buckets is the 1,000-gallon tipper that sits atop Fort Mackenzie. Every few minutes, the warning bell clangs, and the bucket begins to tip its contents over. Then there’s the River Canyon Run which is the largest waterslide featured at the resort in Grand Mound, Washington. The five-person circular rafts allow friends and family to share the exciting ride together. River Canyon Run features back-to-back curves and drops from six stories high and over 500 feet of water. I loved there Wave Pool with waves up to 3 feet tall, they offer inner tubes. The gigantic wave pool also features zero-depth entry and goes up to 5 feet deep. They also have what’s called the Totem towers. These twin three-story slides offer the fastest (not to mention, fun filled) escape route out of the Fort Mackenzie tree house. Also, there’s Alberta Falls which is a four stories of fun. Twist in and out of the Lodge before dropping into the plunge pool. (Don't worry, the tube is enclosed so there's no temperature change!) They also have gr8_space features computers with teen-conscious Internet access, docking stations for ipods and mp3 players, as well as multiple gaming stations for those who strive to win one of our contests on systems such as Nintendo Wii, XBox360 and games like Rock Band 2. Come enjoy the movies and today's hottest music and videos. gr8_space also hosts family events, like "rock star" karaoke, and family challenge games. And in the evening, there's dedicated teen time. When I showed up for my adventure date, my gentleman friend was waiting for me in the parking lot. He asked me if I was surprised? I laughed and told him that I was more than surprised and that I had never had a date at a recreational style hotel. He showed me around the place and asked it I was hungry. I decided to eat first and I suggested we dine in our room for some privacy. After brunch, I got changed and we headed down to the slides. I have to admit, I truly felt like a kid again. We had so much fun going down all the slides, playing in the wave pool and visiting in the hot tub. We played some of the games they had available and really let ourselves have some young fun. It was funny because a lady asked us how long we had been married, I replied only about 15 years. (sexy giggles) The lady said, “you guys look like your newlyweds in love.” LOL. After a few hours of fun we headed back up to our room for some well deserved rest and relaxation. Thank you Jim for a fabulous adventure date! I love you!

A Round of Golf

One more fabulous day in Honolulu before I return to the rainy days of Seattle.
When I first awoke, I was a bit concerned of what the weather might bring. There were clouds present in every direction and a forecast of possible rain. I made plans with a dear gentleman friend of mine to meet for a round of golf up at the Ko'olau Golf Cours, which happens to be among the top -- and toughest -- US golf courses. It’s literally been nicknamed "The World's Most Challenging Golf Course," the 200-acre course was carved out of 1,500 acres of jungle in 1991 as a private country club for high rollers. Although the coarse is a bit hard for me and not totally my idea of fun as an amateur, I do adore it’s gargantuan scale, tropical terrain and good company.
It is always important for me to dress accordingly. Yet with the confusion of rain or sun I was unsure, so I choose a navy blue skort (which is a mini skirt with built in shorts) with a tight white polo shirt, with all my buttons undone of coarse, and a navy blue shimmer blazer jacket with diamond buttons.
T time was at approximately 10:00am. It took me 20 minutes to get from my hotel to the coarse and I arrrived just on time. This particular morning the coarse was breathtaking. The sun was peaking out revealing the surroundings such as it’s amazing mountain views, spectacular fairways surrounded by rainforest, and dramatic sights of the Pacific Ocean. I was happy to be there.
Because the coarse is so difficult it’s said, The rule of thumb is to bring the same number of balls as your handicap. The 18th hole has two carries over a giant jungle ravine--both the drive and the approach shot. Ko'olau is a Par 72 course at 7,310 yards.
We spent 30 minutes warming up while waiting for our turn. Surprisingly the coarse was quite busy. When our name was called we gathered our things and off we went. On the second hole, the crew behind us approached us and asked if we would like to play together. We agreed. This meant it became my friend and I as well as 3 more interesting gentleman that I had the pleasure of entertaining. I do LOVE entertaining!! I had the brilliant idea of being sure to grab the flag on the green at every hole. This gave me the opportunity to pick up their ball after they had putted into the hole. I was always sure to bend strait over revealing as much as possible. (Sexy giggles) I can imagine they LOVED every moment of it. (Why not, you only live once. LOL)
At only the 15th hole, I was hungry and ready to finish so that we could dine. We departed and drove back into the heart of Honolulu. My friend invited me back to his place after lunch in which he had a fantastic home in the diamond head area located right on the beach. I decided to lounge by his pool since he had made me a delicious Pina Coloada. (My favorite drink) Luckily I had warn a fairly sexy pair of panties and bra that day so that I was able to sit pool side in what appeared to be a bikini. She then reached for the strings to her bathing suit and untied her top to where it fell to the water and again goose bumps formed all over my body. I couldn't take my eyes off of her stunning body. Feb.7th, 2009 Hello Lina,, You really hung with the big dogs on that golf coarse. I’ve hit that course on many occasions, it’s not easy. I have to give you props for at least trying to keep up with the big wigs. I don’t know what I would do if I saw a woman like you on the coarse. I have a feeling that my game would suddenly become less than perfect.

Deep Sea Diving

Today I am loafing on the Hawaii Island of Oahu on Waikiki Beach. The weather is cheerfully pleasant and my day was blissful and memorable.
It is currently in the late evening and I am choosing to share my days adventures with you.
For some reason, know matter what city I lay my head in, I always tend to stay on “Seattle” time.
Therefore my mornings begin in Honolulu at approximately 5:30am.
I had pre-scheduled a 40 foot dive today on the North Shore of the Island.
As always, I requested room service to bring me oatmeal with extra brown sugar, crèam and an orange juice at 6:00am. I decide to eat on the balcony which is facing half of the Pacific Ocean and half of an elegant blue watered lagoon.
After breakfast, I went down stairs to work out for 30 minutes and then back up to my room to shower and dress for my days events. I choose a simple hot pink bikini to slip into and a light pink cotton sun dress to throw over the bathing suit. I’m very aware that I am diving with at least 95% men and love the thought of teasing them with my perfectly S curved silhouette shaped body. “How fun for me!”
I arrange for a driver to pick me up at 7:30am at my Hotel on Waikiki. To my pleasant surprise a young hot blonde girl pulled up to escort me to the other side of the island. “Now honestly, what are the odds of this?” It was clearly going to be a GREAT day for me!! With all the giggling and laughing, flirting and light petting, my ride to the north shore ended all to soon. I jumped out and asked her to return for me in 4 hours, being sure to give her an unforgettable tip.
As I waltzed into the meeting lounge, I realize that I am a few minutes late as the instructor had already began his usual spill of safety and such. Even still, every head turned at my entrance and I smiled and greeted everyone with a very charismatic, “Good Morning Gentlemen!”
On the boat ride out, conversation was exceptionally interesting and informative as I met a politician who had recently run and won his position.
Before I began this line of work I honestly had no interest in politics. Yet shortly after beginning, I had met a client who arranged for me to travel with him on a regular basis, he was a politician in DC. I grew found of him and through constant dinner conversation topics of politics, I learned a lot about our government, policies, laws and why it’s important to be involved. *The cherry on top for me was the recent presidential election between a woman, the oldest man ever and an African American running for president, Who wasn’t involved or interested in politics this year?*
The highlight of my dive today was the octopus that I spent a considerable amount of time observing, so mysterious yet elegant and beautiful.
However, I can bank on the fact that the highlight of my fellow divers came before they ever touched the sea waters. I always wait until the last moment to get into my wetsuit. So as I began preparing for my dive, I slowly slipped off my sundress exposing my itty bitty teeny tiny hot pink bikini. I was sure to fix the wedgie from my buttock and the top breast piece so that my nipple was not showing. I have to admit, I noticed every eye on me which only inspired me to be that much more sexy in every move I made. I began wedging myself into my wetsuit and if anyone has done this before, you will no that it is not the easiest task. But once accomplished I then asked my diving partner if he would be so kind as to zip me up. (sexy giggles)
The diving on Oahu is comparable with any you might do in the tropics, but its uniqueness comes from the isolated environment of the Islands. There are literally hundreds of species of fish and marine life that you can only find in this chain. Adding to the singularity of diving off Oahu is the human history of the region. Military activities and tragedies of the 20th century filled the waters surrounding Oahu with wreckage that the ocean creatures have since turned into their homes.

Best Spots to Dive in this Hawaiian area and why:
Hanauma Bay (7455 Kalanianaole Hwy.) is an underwater state park and a popular dive site in Southeast Oahu. The shallow inner reef of this volcanic crater bay is filled with snorkelers, but its floor gradually drops from 10 to 70 feet at the outer reef where the big fish prefer the lighter traffic. It's quite a trek down into the crater and out to the water so you may want to consider a dive tour company to do your heavy lifting. Expect to see butterfly fish, goatfish, parrot fish, surgeonfish, and sea turtles. The Mahi Waianae,a 165-foot minesweeper, was sunk in 1982 in the waters just south of Waianae on Oahu's leeward coast to create an artificial reef. It's intact and penetrable, but you'll need a boat to access it. In the front resides an ancient moray eel who is so mellowed that you can pet his barnacled head without fearing for your hand's safety. Goatfish, tame lemon-butterfly fish, and blue-striped snapper hang out here, but the real stars are the patrols of spotted eagle rays that are always cruising by. It can be a longer dive as it's only 90 feet to the hull.
East of Diamond Head, Maunalua Bay has several boat-access sites, including Turtle Canyon, with lava-flow ridges and sandy canyons teeming with green sea turtles of all sizes; Kahala Barge, a penetrable, 200-foot sunken vessel; Big Eel Reef, with many varieties of moray eels; and Fantasy Reef, a series of lava ledges and archways populated with barracuda and eels. There's also the sunken Corsair. It doesn't boast much for sea life, but there's something about sitting in the cockpit of a plane 100 feet below the surface of the ocean. Just off Diamond Head, a collection of volcanic boulders creates a series of caves known as Hundred Foot Hole. Once a fishing ground reserved for royalty, it now serves as a great spot for everyone to get Hawaiian lobsters. A dive light is a good idea here because much of the area is shaded, and you don't want to miss such sea life as octopus, manta rays, and white-tip sharks. It is shore accessible.
The best shore dive on Oahu is Shark's Cove (Across from Foodland in Pupukea) on the North Shore, but unfortunately it's only accessible during the summer months. Novices can drift along the outer wall, watching everything from turtles to eels. Veterans can explore the numerous lava tubes and tunnels where diffused sunlight from above creates a dreamlike effect in spacious caverns. It's 10- to 45-feet deep, ready-made for shore diving with a parking lot right next to the dive spot. Three Tables is just west of Shark's Cove, enabling you to have a second dive without moving your car or being redundant. Follow the three perpendicular rocks that break the surface out to this dive site, where you can find a variety of parrot fish and octopus, plus occasional shark and ray sightings at depths of 30 to 50 feet. It's not as exciting as Shark's Cove, but it is more accessible for the novice diver. Be cautious the later in the year you go to either of these sights; the waves pick up strength in fall, and the reef can be turned into a washboard for you and your gear. Both are null and void during the winter surf sessions.
Later that evening I had plans to meet up with a college professor for dinner at Chef Marvo. In case any of you are unaware of this chef he is a MUST SEE while in Honolulu. With all the wonderful restaurants to choose from, only one has earned the Triple-A’s Five Diamond award for 2009: Georges Mavrothalassitis also known as Chef Mavro in Honolulu. The award honors the highest level of excellence in every facet of operation. The Chef serves a 3 - 6 course menu with pre selected wines to accompany each course....he's known WORLD-WIDE for his cooking.
My date, the professor, not only had a witty since of humor but he was also an attractive tall dark and handsome gentleman whom I had the pleasure of meeting once before. Conversation was intellectual and stimulating. I adore a man who can teach me something new. After our 4th course had arrived (I had ordered the duck) I slipped a stiletto off and gently slid my silky panty hose toes up his leg and into his groan. “Wiggle, Wiggle” He looked at me with a surprising blushed smile. I giggled and said, “I’m thinking about dessert already” He instantly blurted out , “well let’s leave now!!” Laughter filled the air and I told him that the food was too good to miss the last 2 courses. He agreed to finished our meal all the while continuing our flirtatious touches and loving gestures towards one another.
I have to admit, flirting, food, a cocktail and great conversation is such an aphrodisiac for me. I begin to image and fantasize about what it will be like. I pay attention to how you touch me at dinner or in the car to see if you are gentle or rough. I notice if your eyes are lustful or full of passion. I take the time to notice your smell, your attire and your extensive grooming. I study you like a book so that the ending might be all that the author of the book intended it to be. Feb.7th 2009 Just thought I'd ad another location that I dove on recently, Rainbow Reef is an alternate name for Magic Island. This is the reef immediately offshore from the peninsula at the East end of Ala Moana Beach Park. That's the Westernmost edge of Waikiki, where the Ala Wai canal empties into the ocean. It's featured in "Gilligan's Island" as the spot where the SS Minnow sets out of Ala Wai Boat Harbor, in that comedy's opening titles. To dive here, park at the south-easternmost extremity of Ala Moana Beach Park. Gear up in the parking lot, but don't zip up your wetsuit yet, because you've got a long walk over a hot asphalt walk ahead of you. Walk along the Easternmost edge of the peninsula, to a tiny pocket-beach next to the lagoon at the end of the peninsula. Walk down the sea-wall and into the water here. Walk Eastward and drop into the boat channel. For obvious reasons, stay close to the wall as you swim southward along the boat channel. About 15 minutes later, you'll be in 30'/10m of water. In this general area, move West over the top of the wall, away from the boat channel. You'll find a series of wide coral valleys. 4 turtles make their homes here. It's a good place to find the coveted checkered cowry, one of the rarest cowry shells in Hawaii. When you've got about 1.3 your air left, surface briefly, orient yourself toward that pocket beach, and return the way you came. Wear thick-soled booties, because sharp corals and urchins abound. Lousy night dive-- it's easy to get turned around, and visibility can drop off quickly if the silt is stirred up near the boat channel. In rainy conditions, the first 3' on top will look muddy but underneath, the water will be clear. The effect is like flying through a huge, low-ceilinged room.
